DISCOVER THE WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS JEWISH COMMUNITY
Mention Western Massachusetts and it brings to mind beautiful rolling hills, the Basketball Hall of Fame, Six Flags New England, the Volleyball Hall of Fame, outdoor antique shows in Brimfield, some of the most outstanding colleges in the country, and . . . a vibrant Jewish community!
If you're new to town and want to learn more about the Jewish community in Western Massachusetts, you should request a visit from the Shalom Welcome Wagon, sponsored by the Women's Philanthropy Board of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts. You will receive a beautiful gift basket brimming with goodies donated by area merchants, and lots of helpful information. We'd love to welcome you to our diverse and active Jewish community!
At the center of Jewish life in Western Massachusetts is the Jewish Federation. Federation features a variety of events and volunteer opportunities for you to connect with other Jews, get involved, and make a difference in the lives of people in our area, in Israel, and around the world. Plus, Federation's local beneficiary agencies and programs are among the region's best. They provide social, educational and outreach opportunities for everyone from toddlers to seniors.
We have an outstanding and active Jewish Community Center with daycare and summer camp for children, educational and social programs for adults, and an active senior department. In addition, our diverse Jewish community has 13 synagogues and 3 Jewish day schools that reflect a wide range of Jewish religious experience.
We hope that you'll explore the Western Massachusetts Jewish community--and the community at large. Federation has many exciting ways to connect you to others. . . and to our community.
