New Community Website Provides Assistance For Difficult Time

Jewish Family Service recognizes that the most responsive and bold action the agency can provide to the Jewish community is to help Jewish families and individuals through what may be one of the most difficult challenges this generation has faced.  The Urgent Economic Response Initiative brings the collaborative strength of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts, Jewish Family Service, and the Springfield Jewish Community Center.  A new website has been launched, (www.jfswm.org/urgent_response.html), to provide help with an online resource guide and directory, information about upcoming programs, and more.

If you or someone you know needs help finding a new job, figuring out finances, getting support for your children or parents, or even making ends meet, the Jewish community is here for you.  A new website has been launched to provide assistance with employment, job hunting, debt counseling, fuel assistance, prescription assistance, and more. more

Create a Jewish Legacy

The Jewish Federation and the Jewish Endowment Foundation of Western Massachusetts, along with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, have partnered with 13 local agencies to encourage legacy gifts that will sustain our Jewish community for future generations.  These gifts will educate our children, strengthen Jewish identity, preserve our culture and heritage, support our synagogues, protect and strengthen the state of Israel, feed the hungry, and will make a difference in the lives of future Jewish generations.  To learn more about how your legacy gift to the Federation can be designed to match your personal circumstances, please contact Pearl-Anne Margalit or Scott Kaplan at (413) 737-4313.
